SZA’s Panorama Festival Look Proves That Florals Don’t Have to Be Demure

The New York City’s Panorama Music Festival began to look a bit rough – the second half of the first day was cancelled due to thunderstorms, and eager holiday visitors had to evacuate Randall Island during the downpour. Thanksgiving, the bad weather does not seem to inhibit the spirit of the rest of the weekend, and the artists have their holiday style properly: Michelle Zauner of Japanese breakfast successfully shines things in a translucent sequin ensemble Saturday, her performance And David Byrnekept wears a classic style of grey suit on Sunday.

SZA’s Panorama costume is equally noteworthy: Ctrl singer-songwriter is wearing a seemingly demure dark grey dress on Saturday with light pink flowers. From the front, the prairie-style dress looks very primitive, with flowing long sleeves and high-necked cuts, but according to the Instagram video, she shows that she is out of the stage. This seemingly sweet work also has a fairly obvious back cut. SZA uses a true tomboy style with a summer dress and thick Balenciaga sneakers – even when trying out a girl’s outfit, she managed to bring a neutral style to the overall outfit.

Regardless of whether it is conscious, SZA’s Panorama clothing has shown that the best antidote to ugly sneaker trends may be appropriate for grassland clothing – or because of the opposite attraction and vice versa. So the next time you wear a Batsheva dress, consider using a pair of Buffalos-SZA approved platforms to offset the old-fashioned silhouette.

This Bridal Shop Owner Wore Five Different Dresses for her Palm Springs Wedding

Anyone who visits the LOHO bride knows that the owner, Christie Baird, is not traditional. The store’s name is an acronym for “her own alliance,” and Christy realized this emotion when she married LOHO co-founder and entrepreneur Brian Doxtator last fall.

The couple admitted that it was not love at first sight. They met in San Francisco’s work, and although they admire and be friendly, the professionalism prevents them from flirting across the boundaries. In 2012, when they attended the wedding of a mutual friend, the border collapsed. “I told him I would arrange him with a few lovely girlfriends, but as the weekend progressed, we would eventually fall over each other,” Christie said. “We didn’t see it coming, but the environment outside of work allowed us to let go of the wall, and we were surprised at each other. Since then we have been together and never looked back.”

The couple chose a photo taken before the wedding instead of an engagement meeting.

The couple moved in together in 2014, and about the same time they founded the LOHO Bride, this commitment was almost as important as their marriage. Their relationship is a personal and professional relationship. Christie said: “We are totally the opposite. Although this may cause some obstacles, it also allows us to learn from each other.” “It is wonderful to fill each other’s voids.”

Engagement is only their four-year anniversary, they have already discussed a topic. “I don’t want to go shopping, I don’t want white diamonds, I want to be surprised,” Christie said. “Besides, I left it to Brian.”

Christy spent her wedding morning with traditional Japanese kimonos and sandals, drinking champagne with her bridesmaids and family.
Sarah Farogo
According to Christie, for women who see it all in the wedding world, freely designing a ring is daunting for most people, but not Brian, she has “excellent taste.” . He was helped by Christy’s friend Bliss Lau, a senior jewellery designer who found their creative leadership at the opening ceremony of the LOHO Bride flagship store in Los Angeles: “I invited Bliss to bring our models and employees Come and wear a variety of rings,” Brian recalls. “An oval diamond ring attracts Christy’s attention and we use it as an inspiration.”

In the next few months, Brian and Bliss created “The Futurist”, a unique three-piece gold ring with champagne diamonds. “They created a ring that I never knew could exist, and I like it very much,” Christie said.

For the proposal itself, Brian plans to have dinner with friends in San Francisco, but when they visited the Christy family in Santa Cruz, California, they changed their mind at the last minute. “It means a lot because it’s a precious moment to share with them,” Christie said. “[Brian] got up early and asked my parents for the blessing of coffee… [Later] We went to the bluffing place above the beach. I was so incompetent, but very happy. Like Brian, it was pure Innocent. I don’t want any other way.”

The surprise dinner in San Francisco eventually became an engagement party with all of my closest friends – “One night we will never forget,” Brian said.

The couple planned their wedding with the help of Ashley Smith, but they worked with many brides who had a firm mind on what they wanted. Christie said: “We definitely want a weekend wedding, which is why we chose to hold a wedding on Friday, and resume brunch and pool parties on Saturday.” “For so many brides, it seems that they don’t have enough time to Friendship, so we see Saturday as an opportunity to really interact with friends after the wedding.”

Neither Brian nor Christy are fans of the traditional “over-decoration” wedding. Christie explained: “The venue must bring its own amazing factors.” “Frederick Loewe Estate [in Palm Springs] eventually stole our hearts because it is so typical of Midcentury; it doesn’t work in any way.” Couples also often flee to Palm Springs on weekends. Christie said: “The stylish atmosphere and warm weather are hard to beat.”

The couple’s medieval aesthetics are the same in every element of the wedding, starting with the gang and Jen Kay’s paper invitation, and Tabitha Hope making the illustrations. The guests were invited to participate in “Meet the Doxtators”, which became the wedding label.

The couple used their spectacular venues to make pre-wedding shots with top wedding photographer Sarah Falugo, as well as a large shot of Gold&Gumption for their wedding videos. Christie explained: “We didn’t take the first photo or engagement photo, so we wanted to shoot my yellow [Toni Maticevski] dress and the editorial of Brian 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with our incredible photographer. “They eventually became us.” The favorite weekend photo, because it is not in a hurry, we can really take advantage of the construction of our venue, without the pressure of the wedding day timeline. Christy completed her look with a Balenciaga earring and Miu Miu heels. Brian wore Ralph Lauren Purple Label and Gucci boots in his wedding tuxedo.

Sarah Falugo

The yellow dress is the first of the three Maticevski tribes that Christie will wear that weekend. “Having two bridal shops is a blessing and a curse,” she said. “I ideally want to wear a LOHO designer, but when you plan for many brides, your store doesn’t always fully reflect your personal taste… I [also] feel very surprised to go to other wedding dresses Shop or designer [go shopping].”

It turns out that Maticevski is a new member of the LOHO product. Christie said: “[Tony] sent a dress from Australia, and finally I fell off my dress from that choice.”

Although Christie’s second Maticevski gown, Balenciaga earrings and acne heels may suggest other aspects, but the couple’s rehearsal party is deliberately low-key. Christie said: “We rehearsed at the venue and then had a very casual gathering in a place called Bar.” “It reminds us of a dive in San Francisco… because our wedding is official, so We want to relax the night before.”

The back of the Christy rehearsal gown is decorated with Maticevski’s signature draping.

The decoration on the wedding day reflects LOHO’s simplicity, simple and modern aesthetics. “We deliberately choose a venue that doesn’t require a lot of dressing,” Christie said. The manor is dotted with solar light bulbs; the clear beach ball is reflected in the pool.

Christie wore her third Maticevski quest for a ritual: a one-shoulder tight-fitting dress with a custom-made super-rectangular train and Pierre Hardy black high heels. Hair stylist Christine Symonds used a low-cut hairstyle with Jennifer Behr’s black mesh face, while Danielle Frankelpearl put on her earrings and rubbed her collarbone. Her cosmetics are designed by Jen Tioseco and focus on flawless skin and nude matte lips. Bridesmaid dresses from Cortana, A La Robe and Halston Heritage insist on a mustard yellow, blush, black and gold wedding palette. They also wore the headwear of Jennifer Behr and the gold jewellery of Kamryn Dame. The best man’s suit is The Black Tux.

Instead of baskets, the couple’s flower girls walked down the aisle with basket bags by Cult Gaia.

For Christie and Brian, the highlights of the ceremony surprised their 165 guests in the Gospel Choir. Christie explained: “This is a joke inside. I always like the nun No. 2. We want to abandon everyone in some way.” “We found a fabulous gospel group called RAISE, let them wear Official wedding guests, so our friends and family don’t know what is going to happen. Our host introduced them in her welcome, then they stood up, put on their robes and started singing “a happy day”… …not only lively, but also helped me relax before the oath, because I am very nervous.”

After the oath, guests will be photographed at the front desk in front of the concrete background created by Jessie Browning and enjoy a cocktail on LOHO’s sofa bed and lounge chair on Flexible Love. The formal dinner of Room Forty is held in the manor. The long table is decorated with the floral arrangement of Eothen, which complements the manor architecture and the arid Palm Springs landscape. The ACV Studio vase and LaTavolaand Hensley sheets enhance the table, while the string lights and Paul Simon soundtrack set the mood. The menu includes smoked tomato puree and a main course of Atlantic salmon or braised beef. Mochi ice cream is delivered instead of a wedding cake for dessert.

On the reception side, Christie wore an Odylyne dress, long sleeves, a fluffy shoulder and a high front thigh. She works with Nicholas Kirkwood’s high heels and the Danielle Frankel drop earrings she wears for her ceremony. “[Odylyne founder] Stephanie White is one of my best friends in Los Angeles, and we created my reception dress together two weeks before the wedding,” Christie said. “[It] gave me ‘I know the ‘leg moment’ that Brian will love.”

The first dance of Charles Bradley’s “Love Your Baby” is for an exciting moment. “We found [Bradley] at the beginning of the relationship and immediately fell in love with his music,” Christie said. “He had his first break around 2011, when he was in his 60s. You can say that he has a five-year fame moment, which is exactly the same as Brian and my date. He passed a month before we got married. When we entered this new chapter, dancing to him was even more emotional than we thought.”

The couple hosted a party at Seymour’s, the new private bar of Mr. Lyon, in Palm Springs. Christie said: “Because our venue requires us to stop the party at 10pm, we need to know that we can move on somewhere in the future.” “[DJ Collective] Dart does bring the atmosphere and also sets a silent Discotheque – they are a big event at the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco, so this is a ode to those good times.”

Christie saved the last fashion surprise for the later guests. “Houghtondesigner Katherine Polk created a reflective skirt, bodysuit and fur for me,” she said. “In combination with the golden Manolo Blahnik over the knee boots, I feel like Beyoncé.”

Christy’s final look was a Houghton bodysuit, skirt and fur with gold Manolo Blahnik boots for the afterparty.

It is not surprising that the couple’s friends described them as party life. “We finally abandoned one of our lives,” Christy said with a smile. “[Our wedding planner] Ashley nailed it.”

But for all the romantic and fashion moments, the invisible and sentimental aspect of the wedding is the most memorable for the couple and their guests. “I think our wedding is real, people just think,” Christy said. “This is something we can’t explain too much; it feels right.”

The. End.

Vintage wedding dresses highlighted at historical society’s bridal event

After the first Milohford Regional Historical Society held its first Oooh la la wedding dress boutique on July 21st, some vintage wedding dresses will once again land on the island.

The show was organized through GMAHS’s program, which was launched three years ago to promote Promont’s rental opportunities. Promont is a historic Victorian home at 906 Main St. in GATHS.

The event was the brainchild of the newly appointed event coordinator Kim Phipps. It provides the public with the opportunity to watch and buy new and softly used wedding gowns, and also showcases Promont as a venue for events and highlights GMAHS’s links with local event providers.

Phipps explained: “I want to show people how we hold weddings, ceremonies, and how wonderful it is. I think this will be a good way, and we can do it under such a budget.”

The event offers a range of products including:

– Approximately 25 new and gentle-to-use bridal gowns, ranging in size from 2 to 2XX, and a small portion of bridesmaid dresses, all of which can be purchased on-site.

– Appetizers and sampling from the supplier, including Chef’s Choice Catering, Ms. Cheri’s Donuts, Lehr’s Prime Market, Tickled Sweet and Village Pantry Catering.

– Lottery, prizes include Big Daddy Walker’s DJ service, Old Milford Bed&Breakfast gift vouchers, handmade garters and Two Stitches ring pillows, and oil paintings donated by Bernadette Martin.

All proceeds from the sweepstakes and apparel sales will be used for the care and maintenance of Promont and its venues.

Phipps’ strategy for purchasing vintage dresses is to ask questions on Facebook.

All dresses come from local contacts who either donate their dresses to the cause or agree to sell them at the time of consignment.

The incident proved to be successful, so after two hours of opening the boutique, five pieces of clothing were sold.

“This is great,” Phipps exclaimed.

The newly hired Rebecca Burton attended the event with her mother Nancy Burton. The two people living in Milford were frequent visitors to Promont, so when Nancy heard about it, she knew it might be a great opportunity for Rebecca to find a wedding dress for her wedding in September 2019.

“She always wants something unique,” Nancy told Rebecca. “We like antiques, and we always do.”

Rebecca, who chose a vintage dress, explained how she knew she was finding the right dress.

“I know I want a lace dress without flash or pajamas, I want long sleeves,” she said. “I just came here to see, I didn’t even plan to buy clothes; I walked through it, looked around, grabbed a pair, and grabbed that one… It turned out that it was perfect for me. I didn’t even I need to adjust it. I only know that this is mine.”

She added: “I am honored to have an old-style wedding dress. I only like that; I really like retro, and my mother always said that I have an old soul, so it just means a little.”

During the wedding, Phipps is surrounded by wedding dresses and future brides, and seems to be shining.

When she saw her vision come true, Phipps said: “It makes me cold; it makes me cry. Seeing these girls can find the dress they want and inspire them, it is really neat. It It’s just full of my heart. It makes their dreams come true, make them happy and make me happy.”

A Masterclass In Colour Blocking From Jackie Kennedy

Her style has awakened the world’s streamlined suits, kitten heels and squash hats, but the first lady is also a master of the block color. Vogue celebrates her best monochrome fashion moments.

While visiting Udaipur in 1962, Jackie Kennedy wears pearls and a silk apricot-coloured dress.

From the 1960s, Jacqueline Kennedy’s single-cover suit is covered with a pill cap, pearl and tan beach tan cream, cream, rose and sleeping beauty blue Tonal toe from head to toe. Whether wearing a large black dress or matching Mantila, meeting Pope John XXIII in Rome, wearing a tomato-colored two-piece dress, taking her to the White House for a TV tour, Kennedy is the queen of streamlined color columns. .

From the fawn coat and pillbox hat she wore for JFK’s inauguration to the infamous pink beaded suit she wore on her death day, the First Lady’s wardrobe has long been accepted by designers, by scholars. Write and commemorate in the museum. Every Halston hat, shantung silk dress and the kitten heel that came to Connecticut now have a place in American history.

With modernity as her muse, Kennedy famously got rid of the fluffy sleeves and waists of the 1950s to renew her as she entered the White House. Although she still prefers Givenchy and Dior, she invites designer Oleg Cassini to create her official First Lady wardrobe. He dressed her in lime, pumpkin and apricot to meet her personality. They collaborated to create A-line dresses and haute couture gowns with white gloves, large buttons and cap badge details in an artistic Vionese green and Nattier blue tones.

In the Onassis era, Jackie O stays away from soft tones and seamlessly blends into the 1970s trousers in jewel tones, dandelions and denim. On bed bug awnings and big buckles – in the presidential campaign or the colonial club – Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis got a huge return when it stopped the color.

TOWIE’s Jasmin Walia wows in nude illusion gown

After her single Bom Diggy Diggy (new in the new Bollywood movie Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety), the former TOWIE Baby has been working hard to create new music – winning praise from critics.

On Monday, at the world premiere of Mamma Mia in Washington, Jasmin Walia walked out of the red carpet and watched every inch of superstars.

The 27-year-old man stole the show in a silver gem camouflage dress with a dazzling floor length as she took a storm on the camera.

With some very bold mesh panels on the waist and thighs, the stunning baby’s incredibly eye-catching costume shows her every killer curve, while the sky’s high frontal split taunts her bodybuilding. Long legs. …

After completing this styling, the female singer chose a heavy smoky makeup, as well as a large amount of bronze cosmetics and a nude luster.
While waiting for the paps, the little star smiled on his face.
Jasmin joined the cast of Toi in 2012, but left his acting career in April 2015 and started his own music career.
In 2014, she and her brother Danny Waria participated in the X Factor audition, but received four judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Louis Walsh and Cheryl. After the judges, they shed tears.

She said to the mirror at the time: “I am sure they have heard of Toy.
“I think they really questioned me because of who I am, but I can’t talk to them at that time because I respect others.”
But it seems that after the success of her latest song, those shocking stars may be forced to eat their lines.
